Responsibilities

The CNC Machinist position is part of the Fabrication Team. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. This position will require a broad range of responsibilities to ensure success. Some examples of these responsibilities are listed below (but are not limited to the following):

  • This role you will need to have the ability to set up the machine to produce components (tooling andwork holding).
  • Edit programs as necessary to work with the set up andtoolingselection.
  • Understanding ofPTFE (Polytetraflouroethylene)to produce a smooth defect free surface.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints. Ability to use all measurement devices (calipers,micrometers,etc).
  • Safety focused

  • CNCmachine set-up (tooling andwork holding)
  • Blueprint reading and interpretation
  • Tooling offsets and some editing
  • Understanding use of calipers, micrometers, depth micrometers, height stands and other precision measuring tools.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues
  • G-code and M-code fundamentals
  • Reading and troubleshooting existing CNC programs
  • Haas mill and Okuma mill turn experience a plus
