Qualifications

• CNC machine setup including tooling and work holding.
• Blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Tooling offsets and some editing of programs.
• Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, depth micrometers and other precision tools.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and maintain tooling integrity.
• G-code and M-code fundamentals for program editing.
• Read and troubleshoot existing CNC programs.
• Haas mill and Okuma mill-turn experience is a plus.
• Mastercam experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

The CNC Machinist position is part of the Fabrication Team. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. This position will require a broad range of responsibilities to ensure success. Some examples of these responsibilities are listed below (but are not limited to the following):

• This role you will need to have the ability to set up the machine to produce components (tooling and work holding).
• Edit programs as necessary to work with the set up and tooling selection.
• Understanding of PTFE (Polytetraflouroethylene) to produce a smooth defect free surface.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints. Ability to use all measurement devices (calipers, micrometers,etc).
• Safety focused
