The CNC Machinist will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, selecting tooling, performing machine setups, monitoring production quality, and ensuring parts are manufactured to specification while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Set up and operate CNC mills, machining centers, and related equipment.* Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and specifications.* Load materials and fixtures into machines and verify proper alignment.* Select and install tooling required for machining operations.* Adjust machine offsets, feeds, speeds, and tool paths as needed.* Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.* Utilize calipers, micrometers, indicators, tape measures, and gauges to verify part dimensions.* Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities to improve cycle times and efficiency.* Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.* Maintain accurate production and quality records.* Identify and report equipment issues, tooling concerns, and quality problems.* Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.* Maintain a clean and organized work area utilizing 5S principles.* Assist with training new machinists and operators as assigned.* Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the machining department.* Perform other duties as assigned.## Qualifications**Required*** High school diploma or GED.* Minimum 2 years of CNC machining experience.* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.* Ability to read a tape measure accurately.* Experience using precision measuring instruments.* Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.* Basic computer skills for production reporting and work instructions.**Preferred*** Experience with Haas CNC equipment.* Experience in a job shop or custom manufacturing environment.* Knowledge of G-Code and CNC programming.* Experience machining steel, aluminum, and stainless materials.* Forklift and overhead crane experience.**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities*** Blueprint reading and interpretation.* CNC setup and operation.* Tooling selection and management.* Precision measurement and inspection techniques.* Understanding of machining tolerances and GD&T.* Strong attention to detail.* Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.* Ability to prioritize work and meet production deadlines.* Effective communication and teamwork skills.
