Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of CNC machining experience or training.

  • Must follow safety, quality, and ERP documentation procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machines to fabricate steel components per specs.
  • Interpret blueprints and work orders; set up tooling as required.
  • Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Log job data into ERP system and complete quality paperwork.
  • Maintain machines and report malfunctions to supervision.
  • Follow safety rules and quality guidelines on the shop floor.
  • Collaborate with teammates to improve processes and productivity.

Job description

The CNC Machinist Operator is responsible for operating CNC machines to produce high-quality steel components in a fabrication production plant. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to strict safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience/education in CNC machining, blueprint reading, and the use of precision measuring instruments.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOperate CNC machines to fabricate steel components according to specifications.Produce parts as assigned to support production.Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.Perform routine machine maintenance.Report any equipment issues/malfunctions to shop leadership and/or maintenance.Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances.Perform visual and dimensional quality checks.Accurately log job information into ERP computer system.Accurately fill out required operations and quality paperwork.Work closely with co-workers to improve machining processes and productivity.Follow company policies, safety protocols, and quality assurance guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards.Other Duties as Assigned: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
