Job summary

Trillium Staffing is seeking a CNC Machinist for a direct hire opportunity in Madison Heights, MI. This first shift position runs from 6am to 3:30pm and offers competitive pay based on experience, starting at $16 per hour for those without experience and $21–$26 for skilled machinists.

The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing, particularly with CNC machines, and must be mechanically inclined. Responsibilities include operating CNC equipment and running small piece jobs.

Qualifications

• 5 years of CNC machining experience.
• Ability to create parts from blueprints.
• Job shop experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Mill and Lathe for producing parts.
• Perform setup and programming on CNC equipment.
• Run 1-10 piece jobs, ensuring quality control.

Job description

Direct hire opportunity for a CNC Machinist in Madison Heights, MI.

This is a first shift position 6am–3:30pm and includes an excellent benefits package. Pay is based on experience; no experience: $16 per hour, depending on math and mechanical skill.

These positions will be doing 1-10 piece runs and are not a production shop.

• Must have previous long-term manufacturing experience – preferably in a metal environment, gear cutting, manual mill or lathe.
• Must be mechanically inclined and willing to learn.
• Must be able to do basic Math without using phone or calculator.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings.

• 5 years’ experience, must be able to create part from blueprint using CNC Mill, Lathe and manual machines. (This level will be at a higher pay rate based on experience: $21–$26 per hour)
• Program on Fanuc controls preferred.
• Job shop experience a plus. CNC machines preferred: Clausing and Sharp Mill, DMG lathe, and Bridgeport manual mill.
