Job summary

G.Z.Q.S.O. in Warren, MI seeks an experienced CNC Machinist to join a growing precision manufacturing team. The role focuses on setting up and operating HAAS mills and lathes to produce high-precision metal components in a high-mix, low-volume environment.

Ideal candidates will read blueprints, interpret drawings, perform tool offsets, and inspect parts with micrometers and calipers. Union facility with 2nd and 3rd shifts and competitive starting pay.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years CNC machining experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of setups, tool offsets, and tooling adjustments.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• HAAS machining experience strongly preferred.
• CNC certification preferred; equivalent hands-on experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

CNC Machinist Location: Warren, MI Pay Rate: $27.28/hour starting pay Shifts Available: 2nd Shift and 3rd Shift Union Facility

Position Overview:

A growing precision manufacturing company in Warren is seeking experienced CNC Machinists to join their team. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who take pride in precision work, machining accuracy, and hands-on problem solving within a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to manufacture precision metal components


• Work primarily with HAAS machines and controls (similar CNC experience will also be considered)


• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and manufacturing instructions


• Perform tool offsets, tooling changes, and machine adjustments to maintain part quality and tight tolerances


• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment


• Troubleshoot minor machining, tooling, and dimensional issues during production


• Support continuous improvement efforts related to quality, efficiency, and workflow


• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Experience with milling, turning, grinding, or other metal removal processes is a plus


• Familiarity with SAP routing, BOMs, or AutoCAD is beneficial but not required


• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
