Trillium Staffing seeks a CNC lathe and mill setup programmer for a first-shift role in Farmington Hills, MI. You will program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes, read blueprints and tolerances, and ensure quality productivity.

The position offers overtime on a voluntary basis, with benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) with company match. Pay rate is $38.00 to $40.00 per hour.

Job description

CNC lathe and mill setup programmer position available in the Farmington Hills, Michigan area working at our client location who is an established manufacturer.

Direct hire opportunity. This is a first-shift position working from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The shop remains open until 5:30 p.m., and overtime is available for employees who would like additional hours. Overtime is not mandatory. Pay rate $38.00 to $40.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities for the cnc lathe and mill set up position:

• Program, set up, and operate cnc mills and lathes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
• Select tooling, speeds, feeds, workholding, and machining sequences.
• Perform setups, tooling changes, offsets, and fixture alignment.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, setup, and process issues.
• Make program/process adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment.
• Identify opportunities to improve cycle times and machining processes.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and maintain a clean work area.
• Work effectively both independently and within a small team.

• Strong set up and troubleshooting skills

• Okuma experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances.
• Proficient with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
