Job Description

CNC Machinist
Automation Personnel Services is seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join a dynamic team in Louisa, VA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the set-up and operation of CNC lathes and milling machines, as well as proficiency in reading blueprints. If you have strong problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and are committed to maintaining high-quality standards, we encourage you to apply. Pay Rate
Up to $30.00 per hour, based on experience.
Schedule and hours
7 am-3:30 pm.

CNC Machinist Duties & Responsibilities

1. Set up and operate CNC lathes and milling machines for various machining operations; adjust machine settings for optimal performance.
2. Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations, dimensions, and tolerances; ensure accuracy in tasks.
3. Inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments; adjust to maintain high-quality standards.
4. Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment; troubleshoot and resolve machine performance and product quality issues.
5. Adhere to safety protocols and company policies; maintain a clean and organized work area.

CNC Machinist Qualifications & Requirements

1. Experienced in setting up and operating CNC lathes and milling machines.
2. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
3. Skilled with precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers.
4. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and understanding of machining principles.
5. Capable of working independently or as part of a team, with technical training in CNC machining preferred.
6. Able to stand for long periods, lift/carry materials, and possess strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
7. Must pass criminal background check and drug screen - including THC.
