Job summary

TPI Staffing, Inc. in Houston seeks an experienced CNC Machinist to operate and set up CNC lathes and vertical milling machines. The role requires reading blueprints, programming and editing CNC codes, inspecting parts, and ensuring quality and production standards.

The ideal candidate will lead 2–3 operators, maintain a safe work area, and perform basic preventative maintenance. Experience with Haas, Okuma, Mazak is a plus, and strong math and GD&T skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years CNC setup experience with lathes and vertical milling machines.
• CNC programming experience is required.
• Experience reading and editing G-code is required.
• Strong blueprint reading and geometric tolerance interpretation skills.
• Knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, fixtures, inserts, and other CNC accessories.
• Experience with Mastercam, Haas, Okuma, or Mazak is a plus.
• Strong basic math skills including geometry and algebra.

Responsibilities

CNC Machinist Pay: $26–$30/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Must be willing to work on callTsugami CNC Screw machine CNC Lathe Machinist, preferably with Haas and/or Okuma experience CNC Mill Machinist We are seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator to operate and set up CNC lathes and vertical milling machines. The ideal candidate will be able to read blueprints, program and edit CNC machines, inspect finished parts, and ensure production and quality standards are met. This position will also provide lead support to 2–3 operators.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Experience with Mastercam, Haas, Okuma, or Mazak is a plus.
• Strong basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours per day.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to safely work around moving machinery.
