Job summary

Flex is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist in the United States state of Georgia to setup, troubleshoot, and operate CNC mill/turn equipment. Read blueprints and SOPs, determine dimensions and tolerances, and verify machine settings on a trial run.

Attention to detail and strong math skills are essential, along with good communication to coordinate with engineers and production staff. 6 months to 1 year of related experience is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certificate is a plus.
• 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training, or equivalent.
• Ability to read mechanical documents and drawings.
• Strong math skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Setup, troubleshoot, and manage basic operation of CNC mill/turn equipment
• Study blueprints, manuals, SOP, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations and setup requirements
• Set up and operate machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed
• control data
• Fit and assemble parts into complete assembly or other work if needed
• Verify dimensions and alignment of assembly if required
• Maintaining smooth product flow which includes safety, quality, productivity, job assignments, and delivery
• Precisely log work performed during setup/run times including quantities into our MRP system

• Good communicator who can confer with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems
• Perform other duties as required by management
