Job summary

Jobot is seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team in Oregon. You will set up and operate Fanuc CNC machines on 1st or 2nd shift, ensuring efficient production and high-quality results.

The ideal candidate reads blueprints, translates instructions into machine commands, loads materials, and inspects finished parts. Strong programming skills and extensive mill/lathe experience are required to ensure precision and reliability.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years' experience as a CNC Machinist or in a similar role in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficient in using Fanuc CNC and Fanuc software.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mill and lathe operations.
  • Expertise in machine programming and CNC machine operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and manage Fanuc CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
  • Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
  • Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
  • Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
  • Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements.
  • Test operation of machines periodically to guarantee their smooth running.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure machinery efficiency, proper job sequencing, and coordinated workflow.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
