Job summary

Jobot in Irvine, CA is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate Fanuc CNC machines in a precision aerospace manufacturing environment.

You will read blueprints, program, load materials, and inspect parts to ensure conformance. Monday–Friday 5:30am–2:00pm, permanent role with benefits including 401K and medical.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years’ experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist or in a similar role in manufacturing.
• Proficient in using Fanuc CNC and Fanuc software.
• Comprehensive knowledge of mill and lathe operations.
• Expertise in machine programming and CNC machine operation.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage Fanuc CNC machines to perform drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
• Read blueprints and mechanical drawings to understand specifications.
• Translate instructions into computer commands for machine operation.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto machines.
• Inspect and measure finished products for conformance.
• Test machine operation to ensure smooth running.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair minor damages.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace following policies and safety rules.
• Collaborate with team to ensure efficiency and coordinated workflow.
• Contribute to team results as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage Fanuc CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
• Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
• Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
• Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements.
• Test operation of machines periodically to guarantee their smooth running.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure machinery efficiency, proper job sequencing, and coordinated workflow.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience as a CNC Machinist or in a similar role in the manufacturing industry.
• Proficient in using Fanuc CNC and Fanuc software.
