Job summary

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a hard-working CNC Machinist for a fabrication shop in Ringgold, GA. Ideal candidates will set up, edit, and run milling and turning machines to create metal parts in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years minimum in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC, lathe and/or mill to machine metal parts.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and follow work instructions.
• Maintain tight tolerances of +/- 0.0002 to +/- .001 inches and proper surface finish.
• Use micrometers, dial indicators, calipers and other measurement tools to verify parts.
• Support lean/5S practices to improve productivity and quality.

CNC MACHINIST

Automation Personnel Services is seeking hard working, self-motivated, hands-on CNC Machinist for a Fabrication shop located in Ringgold, GA. Ideal candidates with Haas and Mazak experience set up, edits, and runs milling and turning machines to create metal parts. This position is full time temporary to hire.

Pay Rate

$20.00- $25.00 per hour based on experience

Shift and Schedule

8:00am-5:00pm Monday- Friday

CNC Machinist Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of CNC, lathe and/or mill machinin g.
• Operate machine tools in the machining and finishing of precision machine parts.
• Must be able to operate precision equipment to hold tight tolerances (+/- 0.0002 – +/- .001") and to achieve the proper surface finish in accordance with customer specifications and/or engineering drawings.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and follow work instructions
• Measure thickness, diameter, and total indicated run out across multiple surfaces of industrial parts
• Display the ability to focus on problems as opportunities

CNC Machinist Requirements and Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience managing personal productivity and quality to meet customer requirements
• Proficiency in reading micrometers, using dial indicators, calipers, and other measurement instruments
• Experience working in an industrial environment – 3 years minimum
• Computer skills necessary for data entry — production and quality
• Experience in a lean/5S environment preferred
