Job summary

System One is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for an onsite contract-to-hire assignment in Chattanooga, TN. The role requires independent setup and operation of CNC machines, reading blueprints, and ensuring parts meet engineering drawings and quality standards.

You will work with Mazak and FANUC controls, select tooling and speeds, perform in-process and final inspections, and uphold safety and cleanliness in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience setting up and operating CNC machines independently.
• Experience with Mazak and/or FANUC control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical sketches.
• Proficiency in the use of precision measuring equipment and inspection tools.
• Working knowledge of machining practices, tooling, feeds, speeds, and material properties.
• Ability to apply basic algebra, geometry, and trigonometry concepts related to machining and part manufacturing.
• Ability to work effectively with limited supervision while maintaining high quality and productivity standards.
