Role Summary: Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. This includes fabrication, modification, or repair of mechanical instruments, and may extend to fabricating and modifying parts for machine repair or maintenance, applying knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.

Work schedule: 4 days a week (Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday) from 3:15 pm to 1:45 am.

Location: Bridgeville, PA.

Responsibilities:

• Operate basic equipment and machines following routine tasks.
• Carry out operational tasks according to established processes.
• Assist in maintaining and repairing equipment, including preparations.
• Follow safety, health, and environmental guidelines to safeguard oneself and others.
• Ensure work quality and compliance with regulatory standards and codes.
• Use and interpret precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, and depth gauges.
• Read and interpret blueprints and geometric tolerances.
• Communicate courteously with colleagues and team members.
• Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures, aligning with organizational strategies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma / GED and 3-5 years of relevant machining experience, operating manual lathes, milling machines, or CNC equipment.
• Experience in programming or editing machining programs.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Ability to work night shifts.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks with guidance.
• Basic understanding of safe work systems.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Experience working with similar high-volume, varied machining parts.
• Proven ability to write and modify machining programs.
