JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a CNC Machinist in Auburn Hills MI. Our client is a plastics manufacturer. The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision plastic components according to specifications.

Responsibilities of a CNC Machinistincludes:

• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models

• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)

• Make necessary machine adjustments to maintain tolerances and quality standards

• Monitor equipment for potential issues and perform basic maintenance

• Document production activities and maintain accurate records

• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to resolve machining issues

• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies
  
  

Job Requirements of a CNC Machinist:

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and work instructions

• Proficiency with CNC machine operation and control systems (e.g., FANUC, Haas, Siemens)

• Familiarity with G-code programming and editing is a plus

• Basic understanding of plastic material machining properties

• Strong attention to detail and quality standards

• Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to work flexible shifts or overtime as needed

REQUIRED Experience and Education:

• High school diploma or GED required

• 2+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist in a manufacturing environment

• Vocational or technical training in machining or CNC operation preferred

• Experience in plastic manufacturing is a plus
