Summary

Responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills to produce quality parts efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
2. Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors.
3. Machining parts according to production schedules.
4. Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, adjusting controls as needed.
5. Program and edit machine programs to meet part specifications.
6. Inspect parts to ensure they meet blueprint tolerances.
7. Perform other duties as required.

Education and Experience

• Ability to read blueprints and calculate dimensions and tolerances.
