Job Overview

Operate a computer numerical control (CNC) machine to produce machined parts, maintain quality and safety standards, record logs, and communicate any irregularities.

Responsibilities

• Plan machining by reviewing work orders, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
• Program mills by entering instructions, setting tool registers, offsets, and compensation, and calculating requirements.
• Set up mills by installing and adjusting chucks, tools, collets, and attachments.
• Verify settings by measuring positions and inspecting first run parts.
• Maintain specifications by performing drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, and threading operations, and adjusting controls as needed.
• Troubleshoot processes and request repairs as required.
• Assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts using mechanical equipment and blueprints.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related machining experience.
• Ability to read and interpret simple to complex drawings and work instructions in English.
• Basic computer skills desired.

Work Schedule

Typical shift: 7:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. – 11:45 p.m. Flexibility for evening and weekend work may be required.
