Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to perform manufacturing duties, operate CNC machines, and read gauges to ensure parts meet exact specifications. This role requires adherence to safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement within a structured training rotation.

The position involves heavy lifting, standing on concrete, and possible overtime. Relocation is not provided; join a team focused on precision, efficiency, and reliability in a modern production

Qualifications

• Must be capable of repetitive hand manipulation, grasping and supporting power tools.
• Must be able to stand on concrete for entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds (with assistance from a team member or use of hoist).
• Must maintain a clean work area.
• Meet quality standards and implement continuous improvement measures
• Cross train on other jobs as required
• Ability to operate riveting, torqueing, hand tools and small power tools in a safe and nondestructive manner.
• Read and understand Work Station Instruction documentation
• Ability to collaborate with a team and work independently
• Ability to work overtime when necessary
• Established satisfactory attendance record and performance rating

Responsibilities

• Perform machining duties including operating presses, machines, and CNC equipment per procedures.
• Set up and read gauges and measure parts to specifications.
• Load and unload parts into CNC machinery; operate to make parts to specifications.
• Adhere to established work rotation plan and complete training matrix for each rotation position.
• Use computer systems to access drawings, bills of materials and specification sheets in both electronic and hard copy.
