Job summary

CompoSecure is seeking a skilled CNC Technician in New Jersey to setup, troubleshoot, and diagnose problems on HAAS and DMG-MORI machines. You will adjust offsets, calibrate probes, and ensure accurate parts while supporting production. Strong HAAS experience, G & M Code knowledge, and CadCam tooling skills are essential.

The role involves training teammates, documenting issues, and maintaining safety and quality standards in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
Minimum 2 years of CNC Programming experience.
Minimum 3 years of HAAS experience including skilled operation of CNC Mills.
Experience in G & M Code.
Experience in programming and setting up 3 & 4 axis Vertical and Horizontal Machining Centers.
Experience with CadCam software and Autocad or similar a plus.
Good knowledge of tooling, speed & feed calculations and materials such as Aluminum, Stainless, Plastics, and Steel.
Strong prioritization, teamwork, and adaptability.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and diagnose problems on CNC machinery.
Strong familiarity with HAAS and DMG-MORI CNC Machining Centers.
Set up / change over jobs on CNC mills, change tooling, adjust offsets and calibrate probes.
Assist team members with quality-related questions or concerns.
Ensure equipment and process are qualified when released to operators.
Communicate status of machine activities to supervision.
Inspect tool holders and machine function and schedule preventative maintenance.
Troubleshoot with manuals and dealers to resolve unfamiliar issues.
Provide training on basic safety, machine operation, and quality.
