Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, in Jacksonville, FL, seeks an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and run CNC centers, including 3-axis and 5-axis machines, for fiberglass naval parts.

You will maintain tooling, document operations, and work toward safety and lean goals while coordinating with the Machining Supervisor. Expect potential travel between Jacksonville sites and first-shift training.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent) with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Willingness to obtain certification to operate a powered industrial vehicle.
• Ability to stand up to 8 hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multiple CNC machine centers to machine complex fiberglass products.
• Maintain proper condition of measuring instruments and document operations.
• Meet or exceed output hours and FPY targets.
• Identify opportunities for program and work-holding improvements.
• Collaborate with team and supervisor to coordinate activities and maintain safety.
