Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for on-site work in Jacksonville, FL. You will set up and operate CNC centers to machine complex fiberglass components, while ensuring accuracy, documentation, and safety in a lean environment.

You should have at least 2 years of relevant experience, be able to stand for long periods, and be willing to obtain a forklift certification. A current security clearance is desirable for this role.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Must be willing to obtain certification to operate a powered industrial vehicle.
• Must be able to work in a standing position up to 8 hours per day.
• Prior aerospace / marine industry experience is highly desirable.
• A current transferable US government security clearance is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate multiple CNC Machine Centers, machining of complex fiberglass products.
• Maintain proper condition of measuring instruments and documentation of operations.
• Meet or exceed required output hours and FPY requirements.
• Identify opportunities for program and work-holding improvements.
• Cross-train on different machining centers and support lean/core initiatives.
• Adhere to safety, EHS, and company rules; maintain clean work cell.
