Job summary

Snap-on in Milwaukee, WI, seeks a CNC Repair Associate on 1st shift (6am–2pm) at $38.86/hour. You will troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems on CNC machines.

Key duties include keeping CNC and machinery running, repairing hydraulics/pneumatics, motors, solenoids, and rebuilding gearboxes and electric motors. HS diploma with 1–3 years in manufacturing and CNC experience required.

Qualifications

Overview

1st Shift opening: 6am - 2pm $38.86/hour The CNC Repair associate is required to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic components on CNC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensures operation of CNC machines and mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoots and repairs equipment and control issues.
• Checks, analyzes, reconnects, and repairs hydraulic, pneumatic, belt-driven or gear drive machines.
• Disconnects motors, solenoids and performs minor electrical repairs on de-energized circuits and equipment.
• Rebuilds gear boxes and electrical motors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and one to three years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Previous CNC experience required
• Will be required to pass the eligibility test provided by Snap-on
• Ability to read and interpret part diagrams
• Ability to use shop mathematics, work with fairly complicated drawings, and good troublshooting ability
• Competencies: Demonstrated experience in electrical and/or electronic and mechanical maintenance including motors, controls, power supplies, AC/DC theory, power distribution, PLC's, hydraulics/pneumatics, lubrication, power transmission, pumps.
