Job summary

Snap-on in Milwaukee is seeking a 3rd shift Machine Repair Associate to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair CNC equipment on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

This role requires reading diagrams, performing electrical repairs on de-energized circuits, and rebuilding gear boxes and motors. A high school diploma and 1–3 years in manufacturing are required, with a 10pm–6am shift and pay of $35.85/hour.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma and 1–3 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Able to read and interpret part diagrams and schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots and repairs equipment and control issues.
  • Checks, analyzes, reconnects, and repairs hydraulic, pneumatic, belt-driven or gear drive machines.

Job description

3rd Shift opening: 10pm - 6am $35.85/hour

The Machine Repair associate will troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic components on CNC equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Ensures operation of CNC machines and mechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs equipment and control issues.
  • Checks, analyzes, reconnects, and repairs hydraulic, pneumatic, belt-driven or gear drive machines.
  • Disconnects motors, solenoids and performs minor electrical repairs on de-energized circuits and equipment.
  • Rebuilds gear boxes and electrical motors.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma and one to three years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Will be required to pass the eligibility test provided by Snap‑on.
  • Ability to read and interpret part diagrams.
  • Ability to use shop mathematics, work with fairly complicated drawings, and good troubleshooting ability.

Competencies: Demonstrated experience in mechanical maintenance including motors, hydraulics/pneumatics, lubrication, power transmission, pumps.
