Job summary

Snap-on is seeking a hands-on machinist for 2nd or 3rd shift in Milwaukee. You will set up, run, and troubleshoot CNC or manual machines, inspect finished parts, and help train other cell operators.

This role requires solid mechanical aptitude and the ability to read drawings and follow specifications. Candidates should have a High School diploma with 1–3 years in manufacturing, and be comfortable with precision measuring tools.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and one to three years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience.
• Ability to use shop mathematics, work with complicated drawings, specifications, and formulas.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools and apply techniques of a recognized trade.
• Work from blueprints, drawings, specifications and formulas involving limited detail.

Responsibilities

• Set up, troubleshoot, repair, and operate all machinery in cell.
• Assist and train other cell operators.
• Submit required data/documentation accurately.
• Meet and maintain department productivity goals.
• Knowledge of safe operating procedures and good housekeeping practices.
• Perform in-process product inspections to ensure conformance to print specifications.
• Make minor edits, including variable edits, to CNC programs.

2nd or 3rd shift opening: 2:00pm - 10:00pm or 10:00pm - 6:00am $28.95/hour
