Job summary

Worthington Armstrong Venture (WAVE) in Georgia is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to support the production of custom aluminum extrusions. You will cut material according to blueprints, set up equipment, and lay out fabrication projects from drawings.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Experience with machinery in manufacturing environment or similar.
• Experience with LEAN manufacturing, 6S, Six Sigma.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high performance manufacturing environment.
• Able to lift a maximum of 40 pounds.
• Able to stand 8-10 hours per day at assigned work area.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Support production of custom aluminum extrusions by cutting material per blueprints/technical drawings.
• Set up equipment and lay out fabrication project from blueprints/technical drawings.
• Cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines, or power saw; join material using adhesive and clamps.
• Measure components and finished product to ensure dimensions within tolerances.
• Complete roll tooling changeovers and maintain equipment, supplies and machinery safely.
• Troubleshoot machinery, material, saw, measuring equipment and tooling and adjust as needed.
• Visually inspect extrusions and report defects against blueprints/technical drawings.
• Participate in continuous improvement and LEAN manufacturing activities.
• Flexible to assignment changes and willing to help and learn new things.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas and equipment.
