Job summary

Worthington Armstrong Venture (WAVE) is seeking a day shift Operator to join our manufacturing team in a fast-paced environment. The role focuses on producing aluminum extrusion and light-gauge steel components, with emphasis on safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include reading work orders, setting up fabrication equipment, and performing inspections to ensure tolerances are met. The candidate should be dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of cross-training in multiple

Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing, metal fabrication, or related environment.
• Strong knowledge of machine operation and safety practices.
• Experience with aluminum extrusion or light-gauge steel preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and production instructions.
• Ability to use measuring devices and perform inspections to tolerances.
• Ability to complete production and quality documentation.
• Ability to work under deadlines with attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork and dependability.
• Ability to assist with training or coaching others.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and follow work orders, blueprints, technical drawings, and safety requirements.
• Set up and safely operate fabrication equipment, machinery, hand tools, power tools, and cutting equipment.
• Lay out, cut, fabricate, assemble and prepare materials to specifications.
• Perform dimensional measurements and quality inspections of materials and finished products.
• Complete required production, quality, maintenance, and safety documentation on time.
• Conduct pre-use machine safety inspections and routine operator maintenance.
• Follow all safety procedures including PPE use and lockout/tagout practices.
• Meet production goals while maintaining quality, accuracy, and safety.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with cross-training as needed.
