Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Alsip, IL is seeking a CNC Machine Operator II to join our onsite manufacturing team. You will read blueprints, set up machines, and hold tight tolerances with a strong mechanical aptitude on a lean production floor.

The role requires reliability, safety focus, and participation in continuous improvement activities. Shift options include 1st and 2nd, with a pay range of $27.51 per hour plus a $1.35 per hour shift differential for the second shift.

Qualifications

• Able to read blueprints and hold tight tolerances.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Follow Standard Work Machine set up, running parts and preventative maintenance (PM).
• Inspect, deburr, and perform manual operations and/or operate other equipment, including the selection and presetting of tools which will be required for the next scheduled job.
• Update and maintain all visual controls and Create and/or support countermeasures and operate in and maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Participate and engage in SMED, Kaizen events, and ‘5 Whys’ problem-solving exercises.
• Resolve and/or report equipment abnormalities.
• Follow company safety procedures and standards to insure individual and collective safety, in addition to avoiding unnecessary risk to oneself, co- workers, contractors, customers, and property. Be a stand for safety having the courage to call forth and report unsafe practices.
