Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc in Aiken, SC is seeking a CNC Machine Operator on the Floater Off Shift to assemble sub-systems and cubic engine components. You will operate CNC HELLER centers with Siemens 840D controllers, interpreting blueprints and control plans to determine operations and routings, ensuring quality and on-time production.

The role requires 2 years of machining education or 5 years of experience, with ability to work nights and overtime.

Qualifications

• 2 years in a mechanical, maintenance or machining trade school or equivalent Associate’s Degree; or 5 years of experience in a heavy-duty machining environment.
• Associate’s Degree or 5 years heavy-duty machining experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and job orders.
• Experience with CNC controls, preferably Siemens 840D.
• Able to work off shift and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble sub-systems and cubic engine components.
• Operate CNC HELLER machining centers with Siemens 840D controllers.
• Read, study, and interpret blueprints, machining instructions, and control plans.
• Compile workpieces and materials per specifications; inspect and report defects.
