Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc in Graniteville, SC is seeking a CNC Machine Operator - Floater for the day shift to operate HELLER machining centers with Siemens 840D controllers. You will read blueprints, determine sequences of operations and setups, and assemble engine sub-systems and components with precision.

The role requires 2 years of mechanical/machining training or 5 years in heavy-duty machining, with flexibility for shifts and overtime. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

  • 2 years in a mechanical, maintenance or machining trade school or equivalent Associate’s Degree; or 5 years of experience in a heavy-duty machining environment.
  • Ability to work any shift and overtime as required.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble sub-systems and cubic engine components using tools, gauges, lubricants, and equipment.
  • Operate CNC HELLER machining centers with Siemens 840D controllers according to instructions, routings, control plans, and diagrams.
  • Read, study, and interpret blueprints, instructions, specifications, and job orders to determine operations and setups.
  • Compile workpieces and materials per specifications; inspect, document, and report defects.
  • Select materials and tooling required for machining and assembly of cubic engine components.
