Job summary

CMCO is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and run CNC tools, read blueprints, and ensure precise metal shaping. You will use shop math and various measuring tools to hit production targets, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and the ability to move between machines as needed in a full‑time facility environment. Experience in manufacturing is preferred and a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
• Comfort with shop mathematics and measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machine tools to spec.
• Read and understand blueprints and written specs.
• Apply shop mathematics to tooling and layouts.
• Use machinist hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Shape metals to precise dimensions and finishes.
• Be familiar with metals, speeds, and feeds for machining.
• Operate machines to meet production and quality goals.
• Lift 5 to 50 pounds regularly.
• Move around plant to change machines and retrieve parts.
• Read, write, and follow safety documentation and paperwork.
• Communicate with supervisors, inspectors, and dispatchers.
• Learn machine controls, tools, and setup procedures.
• Maintain punctuality and attendance.
