Job Summary
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
1st Shift: Monday – Friday; 7am to 3:30pm
Machine Operator/ Assembler Responsibilities
- Start machines and monitor displays to detect malfunctions.
- Set up machines per documented setup sheet.
- Loads and unloads products.
- Determines and documents machine set ups for each part as needed.
- Stop machine to change cutting tools, setup according to required machining sequence or to measure parts for conformance to blueprint specifications.
- Complete edits and adjustments as required to ensure parts meet specifications.
- The ability to operate more than one machine.
- Read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, sketches.
- Accurately complete paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc.
- Inspects work for all dimensional features as required and produces quality and quantity of work in accordance with company requirements.
- Must work in a safe manner and report any safety, machine, or equipment issues.
- Perform mechanical and/or electronic assembly operations on components.
- Use hand tools, power tools, jigs, microscopes, and precision measuring instruments to complete fine assembly work.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to identify and resolve issues and ensure product integrity.
Machine Operator/ Assembler Qualifications and Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2+ years of industry experience
- Experience in milling machines preferred.
- Knowledge of feeds and speeds and a working knowledge of cutting tools and their application.
- Prior experience working with aerospace components or defense systems preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and process documentation.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, jigs, microscopes, or similar manufacturing equipment.
