Job summary

Peoplelink Staffing in Endicott, NY is seeking a Machine Operator/Assembler for a contract-to-hire role on 1st shift, 7am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday. You will start and monitor machines, read blueprints, set up equipment, load and unload parts, and ensure parts meet specifications.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 2+ years in manufacturing, and experience with milling machines, feeds and speeds, and precision tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of industry experience preferred.
• Experience with milling machines preferred.
• Knowledge of feeds and speeds and cutting tools.
• Experience with aerospace components or defense systems preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, plans, sketches, and process documentation.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, jigs, microscopes, and precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Start machines and monitor displays for malfunctions.
• Set up machines per documented setup sheet.
• Load and unload products.
• Read and interpret blueprints and planning sheets.
• Operate more than one machine as needed.
• Perform fine assembly work with hand and power tools.
