Job description

Seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator (metal) for our 55-year-old company. Duties include, but are not limited to:

1. Operate multi-axis (3, 4, & 5) machining centers
2. Conduct in-process inspections
3. Dismantle setups and return tools to proper locations upon completion of manufacturing runs
4. Report any discrepancies in blueprint dimensions to management
5. Minimum of 3 years experience operating CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines in manufacturing
6. Intermediate knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, bore gauges, indicators)
7. Intermediate ability to read drawings and specifications, including geometric tolerances and dimensions
8. Knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts, and accessories used on various machines
9. Ability to follow written and oral instructions
10. Proficiency in English (written and oral)
11. Adaptability to changing work environments and demands
12. Willingness to work extended hours as necessary
13. Basic math skills for calculations related to material fabrication
14. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
15. Willingness to operate multiple machines independently or in a team
