CNC Machine Operator II

Who You Are :

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of relevant CNC equipment operating experience. Glass industry experience is preferred.

What You Will Be Doing :

As a CNC Machine Operator, you will operate a CMS Machine to fabricate glass and perform preventative maintenance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):

• Operate CNC equipment (CMS machine) to fabricate glass according to customer specifications.
• Create CNC programs as needed for fabrication.
• Program CNC equipment by entering instructions, setting zero and reference points, tool offsets, and other parameters.
• Set up CNC equipment by installing and adjusting tools and verifying settings.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Document actions and communicate irregularities across shifts.
• Follow safety procedures and regulations to ensure safe operations.
• Complete production and quality logs.
• Secure glass on carts or trucks for safe transport.
• Move glass from various locations, including tables, furnace, racks, trucks, or crates, daily.
• Conduct daily safety inspections of equipment and workspace.

Skills You Bring :

Minimum Skills and Requirements :

• Previous CNC experience required.
• CNC programming knowledge is a plus.
• CAD experience is a plus.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a high-heat manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of plant operations, computers, hoists, and lifts is preferred.
• Glass industry experience is a plus.
• Regular attendance and adherence to safety policies are essential.
