A well-established manufacturing company in New Albany is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator for 3rd shift. The operator will be responsible for operating multi-axis machining centers, conducting inspections, and ensuring quality control. Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of relevant experience and strong skills in precision measurements and communication.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years experience operating CNC Machines like lathes & milling machines.
  • Intermediate knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Job description

3rd Shift - 10 pm - 6:30 am (10% shift differential)
Seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator (metal) for our 55 year old company. Duties are, not limited to, to the following.

* Operate multi-axis (3, 4, & 5) machining centers.

* Conduct in-process inspection.

* Dismantle set-ups and return tools to proper location upon completion of manufacturing runs.

* Report any discrepancies of blueprint dimensions to management.

* Minimum of 3 years experience of operating CNC Machines such as lathes & milling machines in manufacturing.

  • Intermediate knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. Instruments should include but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, bore gages and indicators.
  • Intermediate knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an intermediate understanding of geometric tolerance and dimensions.
  • Intermediate knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts, and other accessories used on various machines.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Must be able to communicate in English (both written & oral) as it relates to the job.
  • Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
  • Must be willing and able to work extended hours as necessary.
  • Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication.
  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
  • Willing to run multiple machines independently or in a team environment.
