Job summary

Spot Zero Reverse Osmosis, Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our production team in Florida. The role focuses on setup, operation, and maintenance of a 4-axis CNC machine, changing plates, and ensuring parts meet exacting tolerances.

The candidate will conduct routine quality checks, document measurements, and help identify root causes of defects. A strong emphasis on safety, PPE, and clean, organized work areas is required.

Qualifications

  • Technical training or certification in CNC machining or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with G-code programming is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operation principles.
  • Knowledge of basic maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Capable of lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines according to production specifications and instructions.
  • Change plates on CNC machines as required, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure quality output and identify any malfunctions or irregularities.
  • Conduct routine machine maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting key components per production specifications and instructions.
  • Replace worn tooling and fixturing per instructions.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Perform measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to verify tolerances.
  • Report non-conformances and assist in identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
  • Communicate operational issues, delays, and improvements to supervisors and team members.
  • Assist in maintaining an inventory of machine tools, spare parts, and consumables.
