Sonnax Manufacturing is seeking a CNC Setup/Operator to work with an experienced team in a dynamic and action-oriented Continuous Improvement environment. This position will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes to produce parts to print specifications. Machine types include Haas, Hardinge, and Mitsubishi lathes and mills. The ideal candidate should pay strong attention to detail, be committed to workplace safety, and maintain a constant quality mindset in all work.

Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities:

1. Interpret engineering drawings to understand tolerances of the parts to be machined.
2. Interpret setup documentation and tooling sheets to set up a variety of jobs.
3. Setup and operate CNC machines to meet parts per hour requirements.
4. Perform quality checks and make necessary adjustments to hold dimensions and tolerances.
5. Make necessary offset and program adjustments or request program updates from the programmer to hold dimensions and tolerances to print specifications.
6. Take proper care of all Sonnax tools and equipment.
7. Perform daily preventative maintenance.
8. Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Education and/or Experience:

1. High school diploma or GED.
2. Two years of prior machining experience; CNC experience preferred.
3. Ability to read blueprints and use/read precision measuring tools.
4. Understanding of basic shop math, including decimal/fraction conversion.

Physical Demands:

No restrictions on wearing required PPE, including safety eyewear and steel-toed shoes, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
