Job summary

Accounting Search is seeking an experienced CNC Operator Lead to supervise and mentor CNC operators in a hands-on manufacturing environment. You will oversee setup, operation of CNC mills and lathes, and ensure safety and production schedules are met.

You will program Fanuc controls, apply CAM/CAD workflows, read blueprints and GD&T, and coordinate tooling and measurement activities to optimize quality and throughput. This role includes leadership responsibilities and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC mills, lathes, stamping presses, and fabrication equipment in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls, CAM programming, and CAD software (SolidWorks or similar).
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T requirements.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments and tooling setups.
• Familiarity with PLCs, welding, and fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor CNC operators while ensuring safety and production schedules.
• Oversee setup, calibration, and operation of CNC mills, lathes, stamping presses, and other equipment.
• Program CNC machines using Fanuc controls and CAM software based on CAD drawings and GD&T.
• Inspect components with calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
• Verify finished parts meet blueprint requirements and quality specifications.
• Coordinate material handling, tooling setups, and fabrication activities for efficient workflow.
• Troubleshoot CNC equipment and collaborate with maintenance on repairs.
• Maintain machine operation records, production logs, and quality reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve machining processes, productivity, and quality.
