Job summary

DPI Inc. is a family-owned precision job shop and contract manufacturer in Hatboro, Pennsylvania, in business since 1988.

The shop runs 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC milling and turning work, including high-pressure coolant and robotic-loading, lights-out-capable production, for aerospace, national defense, medical, cryogenic, and oil and gas customers. The role involves writing and proving out CNC lathe programs from print through first-piece approval, not just running pre-written code.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC lathe programming and setup experience.
• Ability to independently take a part from blueprint to production.
• Strong knowledge of G-code and CNC turning processes.
• Strong blueprint-reading and inspection skills.
• Experience working with close tolerances.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and workholding.

Responsibilities

• Create, edit, and optimize CNC lathe programs.
• Plan machining operations from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Select tooling, inserts, workholding, feeds, and speeds.
• Perform complete CNC lathe setups and set tooling and work offsets.
• Safely prove out new and existing programs.
• Complete first-piece inspections and make necessary corrections.
• Troubleshoot programming, tooling, setup, and machining issues.
• Improve cycle times and process reliability.
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.

Pay, benefits and schedule
