Job description

CNC Lathe Programmer & Operator

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a CNC Lathe Programmer & Operator for a leading precision manufacturing company based in Marietta. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with industry-leading Mazak equipment in a stable and growing company known for repeat business, advanced machinery, and long-term career opportunities. Pay Rate
$25.00 to $40.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule and Hours
Mondays through Fridays, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Overtime may extend hours to 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Saturdays as required

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills to machine metal workpieces to specifications.
2. Program directly at the machine using Mazatrol Conversational Programming.
3. Retrieve preprogrammed instructions from machine memory or laptop as needed.
4. Adjust speeds, feeds, and tooling as necessary to maintain quality standards.
5. Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and inspection instructions.
6. Perform routine maintenance checks including lubrication and fluid levels.
7. Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, and preset gauges to verify part accuracy.
8. Replace worn tools and troubleshoot machining issues during production runs.
9. Support training of new and existing employees in machine operation and best practices.
10. Maintain compliance with company procedures and safety regulations.
11. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and efficiency goals.
12. Additional related job duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

1. High School Diploma or GED required.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC lathe operations with a strong focus on Mazak equipment.
3. Proficient in Mazatrol Conversational Programming at the machine.
4. Strong ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
5. Hands-on experience setting up, adjusting, and running repeat production jobs.
6. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
7. Familiarity with basic statistical process control (SPC) methods is a plus.
8. Willingness to work overtime and Saturdays as required.
9. High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality and safety.
10. Drug screening and background check is required.
