Job Description

Mastercam CNC Programmer and Operator
Automation Personnel Services is seeking skilled Mastercam CNC Programmer and Operators to join a leading aerospace company in Kennesaw, GA specializing in the manufacturing of military vehicles. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, high-tech environment where precision and safety are paramount. Pay Rate
Starting at $32.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Enjoy a three-day weekend every week with Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays off!

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, and GD&T specifications to plan machining processes.
  2. Program CNC mills using MasterCAM software, including entering instructions, setting tool registers, offsets, and compensation, and verifying part programs.
  3. Set up and adjust equipment, including chucks, tools, attachments, and indexing vices.
  4. Inspect work by measuring positions, first-run parts, and samples to meet quality standards.
  5. Maintain equipment by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
  6. Document production and quality information in logs and communicate with team members across shifts.
  7. Ensure safe operations by following safety procedures and regulations.
  8. Additional job duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Requirements
  1. High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  2. A minimum of 2 years programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines/mills is required.
  3. Experience using MasterCAM software for programming is required.
  4. Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and perform preventive maintenance on CNC equipment.
  5. Strong understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T), basic math, geometry, and trigonometry.
  6. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and document production/quality logs accurately.
  7. Strict adherence to safety regulations and procedures in a machining environment.
  8. Drug screening and background check are required.
