Programmer/Operator Laser, Tube Bender and Mill

Hewitt is seeking a skilled Programmer/Operator Laser, Tube Bender and Mill.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Program and Operate Han’s Tube laser to cut parts from various thicknesses of metals.
2. Program and Operate YLM Bender to bend and cut parts to the specifications of the prints to ensure accurate and quality parts.
3. Program and operate the Satellite XT Milling Machine to machine parts according to the specifications of the prints to ensure accurate and quality parts.
4. Create check lists and perform regular maintenance checks and minor repairs on machines to maintain optimal performance.
5. Set up equipment for other operators when needed.
6. Understand and read blueprints.
7. Remove burrs, sharp edges, and other imperfections from work pieces when needed.
8. Use appropriate PPE and follow established safety regulations and procedures.
9. Constantly work to improve processes; make suggestions for productivity improvements, and optimize production workflow.
10. Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
11. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Experience:

1. Prefer Machinist Degree/Certification.
2. Minimum 1 year experience in programming of a Laser, Tube Bender and Mill.
3. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
4. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality work.
5. Ability to identify issues quickly and find resolutions.
