Job description

Job Title: CNC Lathe Operator (Second Shift)

We are hiring an experienced CNC Lathe Operator for our second shift (2:30pm to 11:30pm). The role involves operating two CNC Okuma Lathes (one 4-Axis and one 5-6 Axis with sub-spindle) to produce parts from aluminum, plastic, and stainless steel.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Perform in-process inspection using calipers and micrometers.
  2. Adjust offsets and programs to maintain tolerances.
  3. Read and interpret blueprints.
  4. Apply shop math for checking parts.
  5. Conduct basic maintenance, including cleaning and coolant management.
  6. Assist in shop tasks such as deburring and tapping as needed.
  7. Complete all paperwork related to production and records.
  8. Follow all safety policies and operate machinery safely.
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum of 2 years experience operating CNC Lathes, preferably Okuma.
  2. Knowledge of algebra, geometry, and metric-imperial conversions.
  3. Understanding of G-code and M-code.
  4. Proficiency in GD&T and blueprint reading.
  5. Experience in part inspection and quality accountability.
Physical Demands:

Ability to lift 30-50 pounds, stand for up to 8 hours, and perform repetitive tasks for 2-4 hours. Anti-fatigue mats and stools are available.
