Job description

Job Title: CNC Machinist (Weekend - 2nd Shift)

Join MAX Aerostructures as a CNC Machinist for our weekend shift (2nd shift). Hours are Friday through Sunday, 6:00 pm to 6:30 am. Work 36 hours and get paid for 40 hours!

Essential Functions
  • Study blueprints, sketches, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
  • Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines as necessary to machine parts.
  • Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or input commands for computerized machine control media.
  • Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust controls as needed.
  • Verify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications using measuring and inspection tools.
  • Set up and operate machines on trial runs to verify accuracy of settings or programmed data.
  • Collaborate with production personnel and programmers to resolve machining or assembly issues.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 2 years of experience operating 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machines.
  • Knowledge of blueprints and CNC machine operation.
  • Maintain cleanliness of machinery and work area.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds and stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat, and walk regularly.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Adherence to safety procedures at all times.
