Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines to produce parts per work orders and drawings.
  • Load parts, cycle machines, and identify malfunctions including worn tools.
  • Deburr, de-gate, or polish parts with hand tools.
  • Package production per router steps and stamp off operations.
  • Run production lots and communicate with coworkers on runs.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized workspace following 5S.
  • Complete paperwork accurately and legibly.
  • Produce quality parts meeting specs and deadlines, minimize scrap.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects related to output, quality, cost and delivery.
  • Escalate problems within the department as they arise.

CNC Lathe Operator - 2 nd Shift, Cleveland, OH

Pay Rate: $ 19/Hr. Temp to Hire

Schedule: M–F, 2:30 PM - 11 PM.

About the Job

Set up and operate CNC machines and robots to fabricate parts according to work orders and drawings in a safety-conscious, quality-focused manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has at least six months of CNC experience; candidates with strong manufacturing backgrounds and the mechanical aptitude to learn CNC operations may also be considered.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate computer numerical control machines to produce parts according to work order and drawing requirements.
  • Load parts, cycle machines, and identify malfunctions, including worn or damaged cutting tools.
  • Use hand tools to deburr, de-gate, or polish parts.
  • Package production according to router steps and stamp off operations before proceeding to the next operation.
  • Run production lots and communicate with coworkers regarding production runs.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment in accordance with 5S principles.
  • Complete all paperwork correctly, legibly, and honestly.
  • Produce quality parts that meet customer specifications and deadlines while minimizing scrap.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement processes and projects related to output, quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Escalate problems within the department as they arise.
  • Adhere to the company's Principles of Conduct and Action.
Required Qualifications
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in above-ambient temperatures.
  • At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
  • At least 6 months of CNC machine operation experience, including lathes or mills.
  • Intermediate computer and math skills, including the ability to measure parts and learn CNC machine and robot programming.
  • Strong attendance and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Willing and able to learn CNC operations.
  • Ability to speak and understand English.
  • Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace.
