Compensation:

$25.00-$32.00 per hour + 10% shift premium

Tree Top Staffing is recruiting an experienced CNC Lathe Operator for a full-time, second-shift opportunity with an established precision manufacturing organization in Rockford, Illinois.

The CNC Lathe Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathe machines to produce precision components in accordance with engineering specifications and quality standards. This role supports production efficiency by ensuring accurate machining, inspecting finished parts, and maintaining safe and organized work areas.

• Set up and operate CNC lathe machines, including loading materials, tooling, and fixtures
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and CNC programs
• Load, edit, and run CNC lathe programs as required
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain tolerances
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify dimensional accuracy
• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean work area
• Identify and report machining issues, defects, or equipment concerns
• Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and housekeeping requirements
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other production team members

• Proficiency with precision measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with CNC controls

Education:

High School Diploma/GED required
