Job summary

Wenthe-Davidson Engineering Co. is seeking an operator for the setup and operation of multiple CNC turning and/or milling centers. You will perform machine changeovers, run production parts safely, and ensure quality per established standards.

The role requires basic education and experience with CNC setups, with emphasis on accuracy, tool use, and efficient workflow in a team environment. This is a hands-on position in our Wisconsin facility.

Qualifications

Education: Basic general education.
Experience performing basic setups for CNC turning and/or milling centers.
Language: Ability to read/write and understand English.
Reasoning: Follow detailed written and oral instructions.
Math: Basic shop math and measurements.
Tools: Use calipers, bore gauges and other inspection gauges.
Process: Follow setup sheets and routings to complete setups.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC lathes and/or mills in cells to produce parts on schedule.
Complete setups based on setup sheets and routings using tool holders, cutting tools, live tooling and fixtures.
Monitor parts with measuring equipment and perform visual inspection per quality requirements.
Adjust offsets and lengths to maintain tolerances using measurement gauges.
Run first production run products.
Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area.
Perform operator level preventative maintenance on equipment.
May run more than one machine at a time.
