Job summary

Advanced Machining and Tooling LLC is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe operator for 2nd shift to set up and run lathe machines, interpret blueprints, and ensure tight tolerances. You will perform tool changes, manage tool life, and make minor program edits as needed, while maintaining quality and safety.

The role requires 3+ years in CNC lathe work, strong blueprint reading and GD&T proficiency, and the ability to work independently on the 2nd shift in Poway, CA.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC Lathe experience.
• Ability to set up and operate Lathe machines.
• Knowledge and ability to produce 1st article inspection reports.
• Ability to hold tight tolerances.
• Knowledge of tool wear patterns and tool life management.
• Experience with making minor program edits.
• Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T application.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Lathe machine for cutting metallic materials.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches/shop drawings, and engineering specifications.
• Perform tool changes, offsets, and adjustments to maintain part quality.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other metrology tools.
• Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
• Tool life management and minor program edits as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and adhere to safety policies.
