Job summary

Marquee Staffing in Poway, CA is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to set up and operate CNC lathe machines, producing high-precision parts while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will read blueprints, perform tool changes, inspect parts with micrometers and calipers, and drive process improvements. Requires 3+ years of CNC lathe experience, G-code, and the ability to work independently on the 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to machine metallic materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and engineering specifications.
• Perform tool changes, offsets, and machine adjustments.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.).
• Maintain tight tolerances and quality standards.
• Monitor tool life and perform basic deburring or rework as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve machining processes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
